i can't believe it.  jacob is one!  here are a some fun pictures from his party.  we all wore animal hats.  i had wanted to get him this little wheely bug bumblebee since he was born so this was our one present to him (believe me, he doesn't need more stuff).  and i've always wanted an occasion to make these cupcakes.

haircuts and such

well folks, i think it's time for a new look.  i'm tired of long straight hair that sticks flat against my face and looks raggly on the ends.   i'm considering the new kate moss, heidi klum "fringe" cut with bangs and all and a bit shorter. am i crazy? totally delusional?  i can't tell if it's ugly.

it has recently come to my attention that cupcakes are the next billion dollar industry.  of course they are.  have you ever met a single person that didn't like cupcakes?  beautiful little cupcake glassine cups here.  

and these are the delicious coconut cupcakes i made for my friend's baby shower.  they were a big hit.   (yes, i made them!)

i think i'm a little obsessed with trees, and birds.  this coat tree is another great alternative to boring old hooks, and a little more sturdy than the tree sticker i posted about a while ago.  it can also be mounted against the wall.  by swedese.

cashmere arm warmers

i've been wanting a pair of these arm warmers ever since i saw someone wearing them one saturday morning at penny cluse cafe. (they were striped).  i like how they peek out from under your shirt.  these colors are all pretty- i like them in willow.
